When I left the tech industry (most recently in ad tech) to go to Law School, I quickly realized that I was stepping into a completely different world. Aside from the obvious differences like the predominance of paper, the heavily research focused problem solving approach, and just the differnce in skills required to succeed in the profession, I also noticed that there were major differences in how law firms and law clinics operated, and while some of those differences come with the territory, there remain more than a few lessons that the legal industry can adopt from the tech industry in order to boost productivity, efficiency, and quality.
